The Audiology Assistant/Technician supports patients after hearing device purchases and contributes to the efficient daily operations of the practice. Supervision and licensing requirements vary by state and must be adhered to accordingly.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Greet patients and establish rapport through case history collection Perform clean and checks on hearing aids, earmolds and accessories Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to hearing aids and other amplification devices Conduct electroacoustic analysis of hearing aids and related equipment Instruct patients in proper use & care of hearing aids and accessories Assist with Bluetooth connectivity setup and troubleshooting Educate patients on ear hygiene best practices Support community outreach and help build relationships with local physicians Participate in marketing initiatives to assist in growing the practice Back up the Patient Care Coordinator, when not assisting a patient, which includes answering the phone, greeting incoming patients, managing the practice schedule, creating invoices & accepting payments, and other duties as necessary Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
State required certification
Minimum of 1 year experience in audiology or hearing aid maintenance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organizational and multitasking abilities
Compensation Package:
Full-time position (40 hours per week)
