Job Description

Michigan City Coolspring Health Center 1225 E Coolspring Ave Michigan City, Indiana 46360 Within Franciscan Health, The Audiology Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of duties, all while working collaboratively with the provider. This position assists with patient needs in face-to-face and telephone interactions under the direction of the provider, as well as performs administrative, clerical, and support functions.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Hours/days:
Monday-Friday, Work an 8-hour shift between operational hours of 730am-530pm. Schedule patient appointments in the computer system; gather relevant information and obtain prior authorizations. Assist with answering patient inquiries and resolve issues in consultation with the provider. Motivated, eager to learn, multitasker Clean and sanitize treatment room(s) and instruments for the next patient. Enter data into computer for programming of devices. Greet and escort patient for the provider. Triage patients for hearing aid maintenance and troubleshooting. Assist in fitting orientations and gathering information on case history before testing. Input and maintain various logs, such as daily charges, patients seen, hearing aids sold, monthly expenses and e-Orders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Associate's Degree Audiology and Speech Language Sciences Preferred Bachelor's Degree Audiology and Speech Language Sciences Required High School Diploma/GED 1 year Audiology Preferred
