Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals in a residential or community setting
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Support individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment
• Engage in meaningful activities with individuals to promote socialization and overall well-being

Skills:

• First aid and CPR certification
• Experience in caregiving, nursing home, or direct support roles preferred
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and procedures
• Ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and compassion
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals
• Ability to adapt to different care plans and follow instructions accurately
• Physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting as required in the role
