RBTs Preferred Location:
Hayward, CA (Services are provided in the participant's home and community outings.) Compensation
$35.00/hour during the first 3 months
Opportunity for an increase to $40.00/hour based on performance, reliability, and overall job performance
Mileage reimbursement provided when using your personal vehicle for community outings About the Participant You will be supporting a 24-year-old woman with an intellectual disability who benefits from consistent routines, positive behavior support, and engaging community activities.
She enjoys dancing, music, library visits, shopping, and spending time in the community. The goal is to help her build independence, increase community participation, participate in meaningful daily activities, and maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment. We are currently hiring a compassionate and dependable Behavior Respite Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP)/ RBT to provide individualized support in her home .
Schedule Monday-Friday:
00 :04 PM- 07:00 PM Responsibilities
Assist with showering, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
Provide toileting assistance as needed
Implement individualized behavior support strategies and follow behavior plans
Promote independence with daily living skills
Maintain a calm, structured, and positive morning routine Documentation & Data Collection
Collect behavior data as directed by the supervising BCBA
Record objective session notes after each shift
Track progress toward individualized goals and daily activities
Document participant engagement during home routines and community outings
Record behavioral observations and interventions used during each shift
Communicate significant observations or concerns with the supervising BCBA and family
Complete all required documentation accurately and on time Minimum Qualifications
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is preferred
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred
Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and positive behavior support
Comfortable providing personal care, including toileting assistance
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
Reliable personal vehicle with current automobile insurance
Comfortable transporting the participant to community activities
CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Ability to pass a background check Ideal Candidate
Compassionate, patient, and dependable
Calm and confident in supporting behavioral needs
Organized and detail-oriented with documentation
Energetic and enjoy community outings and recreational activities
Able to work independently while collaborating with the family and supervising BCBA
