Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors requiring support with daily activities and personal care. This vital role offers an energizing opportunity to provide personalized assistance, promote independence, and enhance quality of life for residents in our lively assisted living facility. You will be a key contributor to creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing home for the elders that reside in our community. This paid position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to deliver exceptional care and support to those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or dementia. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Operate patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with mobility and prevent injury. Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare protocols. Provide emotional support and effective communication to foster trust and understanding with residents or clients. Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred. Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and patient transfers using proper techniques like the Hoyer lift or patient transfer methods. Strong skills in caregiving, patient personal care assistance, meal preparation, and assisting with ADLs. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. A compassionate attitude combined with physical stamina to support long shifts involving physical activity. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
