Home Health Aide II Multiple positions available Requirements High School Diploma or GED and one of the following: Active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license (preferred) Home Health Aide Certificate (minimum 75 hours documented training per state guidelines) Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) Valid Florida driver's license, access to transportation, and auto insurance Drug screening (Drug-Free Workplace) Preferred Experience Prior experience in home health, hospice, or long-term care Manage high-need or mobility-limited clients Understanding of infection control and safety protocols
Important Schedule Note:
This position offers weekday, daytime hours only -no evenings, weekends, or extended 10-12-hour shifts. All services are provided one-on-one in clients' homes .
Work Location:
On the road Position Overview The Home Health Aide II provides non-medical personal care and support services that enable clients to safely remain in their homes. This includes assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) , maintaining a clean and safe living environment , and offering companionship and respite care support . Key Responsibilities Deliver hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Safely assist with transfers and ambulation , including clients over 200 lbs. Support meal preparation, feeding, and proper nutrition Provide medication reminders (no administration) Maintain a clean, sanitary, and hazard-free home environment Perform light housekeeping directly related to client care (laundry, linens, kitchen, bathroom sanitation) Monitor and promptly report changes in condition or safety concerns Provide companionship and supervision to reduce isolation and caregiver burnout Ensure clients are never left unattended during assigned care Accurately complete documentation and time records in a timely manner Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is performed in client homes , which may vary in condition Regular exposure to cleaning agents and bodily fluids Stand, bend, and move for extended periods Regularly lift/carry up to 25 lbs. Assist with transferring clients over 200 lbs. Work in Florida weather conditions (heat/rain as needed) Additional Expectations Available to travel throughout Brevard County as needed Completion of 12 annual in-service training hours per Florida requirements Available for emergency/disaster assignments if required
