Job Description

Job Overview Join our compassionate healthcare team as a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) in High Springs, FL! You will provide essential personal care, support with daily activities, and ensure the safety and comfort of individuals across various care settings. Duties Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; report changes promptly. Administer medications and manage medical documentation in compliance with home healthcare regulations and HIPAA confidentiality standards. Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and end-of-life assistance. Maintain a safe environment by following infection control protocols, performing cleaning and laundry duties, and ensuring proper use of medical equipment. Document patient progress accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems or electronic medical records (EMR systems). Communicate effectively with clients and their families to provide updates on care plans and address concerns compassionately. Experience Prior experience working with geriatric patients or in senior care environments such as assisted living or nursing homes. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, catheter care, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized caregiving. Familiarity with home health agency operations, home & community care services, hospice or palliative care settings. Certification in CPR and First Aid; additional training in heavy lifting techniques or Hoyer lift operation is preferred. Proven ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality. Strong communication skills coupled with a caring attitude to foster trust and rapport with clients.
