In this vital role, you will support individuals with diverse needs, including elderly patients, those with disabilities, or individuals requiring end-of-life care. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will help promote independence, comfort, and well-being for our clients. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while working in a rewarding environment committed to quality home healthcare. Responsibilities Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patient conditions, including vital signs and overall health status Administer medications following prescribed instructions and document all medical activities accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Support patients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory care, and hospice care Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ensure compliance with home healthcare regulations Use patient transfer methods safely, including Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment Requirements Prior experience assisting with ADLs and providing home healthcare or senior care is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, catheter care, and vital signs measurement Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or geriatrics is advantageous Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required; ongoing training preferred Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform patient transfers using appropriate techniques Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and record keeping Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often necessary for client visits Join us to deliver exceptional home health care assistance that enhances quality of life.
