Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. By implementing individualized support plans and using positive behavior strategies, you will help create a structured, supportive environment where the individuals we serve feel respected, understood, and empowered. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while contributing positively to our community. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals and cooking to meet individual dietary needs and preferences Administer medications following care plans and document all medication administration accurately Support residents during activities and outings within the home or community to promote social engagement and independence Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and sanitation of common areas Implement personalized care plans tailored to each resident's unique needs. Experience Proven experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs effectively Strong caregiving skills with experience assisting with ADLs and providing patient-centered care Familiarity with medical procedures such as medication administration, CPR certification, first aid, and HIPAA compliance Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals Compassionate attitude with patience for working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, dementia, or memory care needs Join us as a Direct Support Professional if you're passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives!
