Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant, CNA ,Compassion Care assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, assisted living, and community environments. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence while fostering a warm, respectful relationship in their home or living space. The ideal candidate will be loving, energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' health by observing for changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately in Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as required Support medication administration following care plans and ensure proper documentation of all patient care activities Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control protocols Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Assist with light housekeeping duties in the client's residence or care facility to promote comfort and hygiene Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans Use patient observation skills to identify potential health issues early and escalate concerns appropriately Operate specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or memory care tools safely during patient transfers or activities Qualifications Proven experience working in home & community care settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes Knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's), or hospice needs is highly valued Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes effectively Excellent communication skills to build trustful relationships with clients and team members Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight hours as needed Join us in making a positive impact on lives every day!
