Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients, particularly those with developmental disabilities and seniors. This position involves direct support, medication administration, and personal care, ensuring that each patient receives the attention and assistance they need to maintain their health and well-being. Responsibilities Provide direct support to patients, assisting with ADL's such as bathing, dressing and personal care. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any side effects or changes in condition. Maintain accurate records of patient care, including medication logs and progress notes. Assist in the overall caregiving process, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all patients. Engage with patients socially to promote emotional well-being and enhance their quality of life. Support patients with developmental disabilities by providing guidance and assistance in daily tasks. Requirements Familiarity with medication administration protocols and best practices. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with personal care home environments, including lifting and transferring patients when necessary. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Certification or training in relevant areas of caregiving is a plus but not required.
