Job Overview As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals needing support. This position involves providing compassionate care and assistance to clients in their homes. You will be responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patients' conditions. Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote cognitive function and social interaction. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Skills CPR and First Aid training (in-person training required). Experience in home health care or long-term care settings is preferred. Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs. Ability to assist with heavy lifting and mobility support for clients. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Experience in cooking and meal preparation tailored to individual dietary requirements. Compassionate approach towards caregiving with a focus on enhancing client dignity and independence. Ability to work effectively with individuals who have disabilities or special needs. Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements:
