Meaningful Day Services is currently hiring Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work across our Community Supports programs. This flexible position may include opportunities to provide PAC/Respite services, support individuals in our Adult Day Services program, and work within our seasonal and school break programs. Direct Support Professionals work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities to help them live more independently, participate in their communities, develop everyday skills, and enjoy meaningful activities based on their individual needs, interests, and goals. What Does a Community Supports DSP Do? Community Supports DSPs have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings based on program needs, client needs, and employee availability. Staff may work individually with clients in their homes and communities through PAC/Respite services, provide support in our facility-based Adult Day Services program, assist with school break programming, or work a combination of these services. For PAC/Respite assignments, staff provide individualized support and work more independently, including coordinating schedules with the individuals and families they support. For ADS assignments, staff work at our facility-based Adult Day Services location on the southwest side of Indianapolis, which operates Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM. Rather than a set full-time schedule, ADS staff will be offered available shifts within these hours based on client and program needs. Staff support clients in structured, person-centered groups (6:1, 4:1, or 1:1 ratios), assisting with daily living skills, socialization, task-based activities, and community outings as part of a team-based environment. Depending on the program and needs of the individuals supported, responsibilities may include: Supporting clients with developing independent living and daily life skills Helping individuals participate in recreational, social, and community-based activities Building positive relationships with clients while supporting their individual goals and skill development Assisting with structured activities, programming, and community outings Providing supervision and support to promote client health and safety Providing behavioral support and intervention when necessary Administering medications in accordance with MDS policies and Medication Administration training Using client medical equipment as trained, which may include Hoyer lifts, feeding pumps, nebulizers, blood pressure equipment, and other devices Assisting with lifting, transferring, or physical support when required by the individual Completing required documentation, client goal tracking, and billing as applicable Communicating with clients, families, supervisors, coworkers, and other members of the individual's support team The PAC/Respite portion of the position includes individualized skill development, behavioral intervention, medication administration, use of trained medical equipment, documentation, and independent schedule coordination.

Flexible Part-Time Scheduling This is a part-time position with flexible and varied scheduling. Available hours will vary depending on client needs, program schedules, and employee availability.
