In this vital role, you will empower residents to live fulfilling lives by assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and fostering independence within a supportive environment. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistance devices Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and care plans while maintaining accurate documentation Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist residents with meal consumption to promote proper nutrition Support residents during recreational activities, social outings, and community engagement efforts to foster social inclusion Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring adherence to health standards Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies or incidents Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in Alzheimer's care, dementia care, autism support or hospice care is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with resident transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal devices Strong communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is desirable Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight hours as needed Join us in making a meaningful difference!
