Job Overview We are seeking energetic and caring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team! In this vital role, you will deliver hands-on assistance to residents, helping them with daily activities and ensuring a safe, supportive environment. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide compassionate care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or cognitive disabilities, implementing personalized behavior management strategies Monitor residents' vital signs and health status, reporting any concerns promptly to healthcare teams Support medication administration following proper protocols and safety guidelines Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal cleanup while encouraging independence in dining routines Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks and adherence to safety standards Engage residents in social activities and foster positive communication to promote emotional well-being Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, and geriatrics techniques Ability to perform manual handling and safe patient lifting practices; heavy lifting may be required Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities in home or community settings Certification in CPR and First Aid; ongoing training is a plus Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely for client transportation when needed Join us as a DSP if you're passionate about making a positive impact through caregiving!
