Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, cognitive impairments, and aging-related needs. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility to promote independence and dignity Support individuals with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and health-related needs in accordance with care plans Provide compassionate Alzheimer's care and memory support tailored to each person's unique needs Operate manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to ensure resident safety during transfers Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed Manage behavior challenges through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management techniques Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces Document care activities accurately in compliance with regulatory standards and communicate effectively with team members about residents' progress or concerns Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation Follow all safety protocols including CPR, first aid procedures, safe patient lifting practices, and emergency response procedures Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, geriatrics, and long-term care best practices Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is preferred Certification in CPR and first aid is required; ongoing training will be provided if needed Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles for community outings or resident transportation when necessary Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and assist residents with mobility needs Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others through caregiving Join us as a Direct Support Professional and become an essential part of a dedicated team committed to enriching lives through compassionate care. $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
