Job Description

Job description: We're looking for caring, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) with an active Maryland Certified Medication Technician (CMT) license to join our growing team. In this rewarding role, you'll provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities while helping them achieve greater independence and an enhanced quality of life. Work Location:
In person What You'll Do As a Direct Support Professional, you will: Provide compassionate, hands-on support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and mobility. Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with Maryland CMT regulations. Support individuals in achieving personal goals while encouraging independence and community participation. Observe, document, and report changes in health, behavior, or overall well-being. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA and agency policies. Collaborate with nurses, case managers, families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care. Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful living environment. Build positive, trusting relationships while treating every individual with dignity and respect.
Qualifications Required:
Active Maryland Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification in good standing. Valid Maryland driver's license with reliable transportation. High school diploma or GED. Ability to pass required background checks and employment screenings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, compassionate, and professional attitude.
Preferred:
Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, Residential Counselor, Home Health Aide (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or similar role. Experience supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities, dementia, behavioral health needs, or other special populations. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Why Join Our Team?
