Direct Support Professional - FLOAT (Gorham, ME; Portland, ME; ...) Residential Resources is Hiring a Float Direct Support Professional (DSP)! Are you an experienced DSP looking for a full-time position, variety in your workday, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact? Residential Resources is seeking a dedicated Float Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support multiple residential programs throughout Gorham, Saco, Scarborough, and Westbrook. As a Float DSP, you'll receive training to work in several of our residential homes, giving you the opportunity to build relationships with different teams and individuals while gaining a wide range of experience. Most of our homes support just two residents, allowing for more personalized and meaningful care. What Makes This Role Unique? Guaranteed 40 hours per week Opportunities for overtime when available Option for two consecutive days off each week Guaranteed one weekend off per month Competitive pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour Important Scheduling Requirement This position is ideal for someone with open availability. Float DSPs play a critical role in supporting staffing needs across multiple locations and must be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed. Responsibilities Provide direct support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assist individuals with community involvement, daily living skills, and recreational activities. Provide personal care assistance to both male and female residents, including assistance with hygiene, bathing, dressing, and other activities of daily living as needed. Support multiple residential programs based on scheduling and staffing needs. Requirements Minimum 1 year of Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience Current or ability to obtain CRMA, CPR, and DSP certifications At least 3 years of licensed driving experience with an acceptable driving record Ability to pass all required criminal background checks Ability and willingness to provide personal care supports to both male and female residents Ability to adhere to a variable schedule with support Training & Support Provided We are committed to setting our Float DSPs up for success.
