Actively Living Life Inc. is a small, family-owned business operating group homes for children and adults with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential care and support to individuals with diverse needs in our Delano home.

Duties:
Provide compassionate care and assistance to individuals in a group home setting Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity Monitor client health and behavior, reporting any changes to necessary healthcare professionals Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Administer first aid as needed Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individuals dietary needs and preferences Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties Assist with recreational activities and social engagements to promote well-being Document care activities accurately in resident records, including progress notes and incident reports, adhering to confidentiality standards Follow 245D licensing requirements Option to promote within Requires extensive training for the individual served
Requirements:
Must be 21 years old or older Must pass a background check Must have a valid driver's license Experience in cleaning and maintaining a safe living space Ability to prepare meals and assist with cooking Ability to work with medical equipment Ability to work with severe behaviors and perform manual restraints as needed for safety Strong-willed, self-motivated, and reliable Strong communication skills Compassionate attitude with patience for supporting individuals through their unique needs and challenges Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and work on your feet for extended periods Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is required Timely completion of all trainings
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
