Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care and support to consumers with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will be a key advocate for independence, dignity, and quality of life for consumers in an in home based setting. Duties Assist consumers with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor consumers' health status by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall well-being Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans under supervision Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal intake to promote health and safety Engage residents in meaningful activities tailored to their interests, including memory care, dementia care, or autism support Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the living space Document observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings as needed Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Requirements At least 18 years of age Proof of high school diploma or equivalent Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred but not required Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Ability to assist with ADLs using proper manual handling and patient transfer m Strong communication skills for effective consumer interaction and team collaboration Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, patient transfers, and long periods of standing or walking Familiarity with home & community care practices and long-term care standards preferred Compassionate attitude with patience for working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Must be able to follow detailed care plans while maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA regulationsJoin us as a Direct Support Professional if you're passionate about empowering individuals through dedicated caregiving. $16.00 per hour
