Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional to join our team! In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and aging-related conditions. Your dedication will help promote independence, safety, and well-being through engaging support and attentive care. Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, and hygiene. Support residents with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and health-related documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each person's needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, or autism support. Operate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques safely and effectively. Prepare nutritious meals, assist with cooking, and ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness in the living environment. Provide patient observation to monitor health status, respond to emergencies with first aid or CPR when needed, and document incidents accurately. Facilitate community outings or personal transportation assistance while maintaining safety protocols. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, and care plan implementation. Experience supporting individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings. Hands-on experience with patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with manual handling tasks regularly. Strong communication skills for engaging with clients and collaborating effectively within a team environment. $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
