Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and well-being Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly Support clients with mobility using manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are respected Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks and adherence to infection control protocols Document care plans, patient progress, and observations accurately while respecting HIPAA privacy regulations Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings to promote social engagement and access to services Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA compliance, manual handling, patient transfer methods, CPR/First Aid certification is advantageous Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or intellectual disabilities is beneficial Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while demonstrating compassion and patience Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment, and stand or walk for extended periods Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safety standards in all caregiving activities Join us in delivering exceptional personal care that enriches lives!
