Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Personal Care Assistant (PCA), where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. In this vital role, you will provide personalized, high-quality care to individuals across various settings, including home healthcare, assisted living, nursing homes, and hospice care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and document patient conditions through patient observation, vital signs measurement, and medical documentation to ensure accurate records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR systems. Administer medications as prescribed, including medication administration and catheter care, following home healthcare regulations and safety protocols. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavior management strategies. Support patients during end-of-life care or hospice situations with compassion and respect for their dignity. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe environment conducive to client well-being. Skills Proven experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities in settings such as nursing homes or home health agencies. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and home health care assistance procedures. Skilled in patient transfer methods, patient personal care assistance, and using equipment like Hoyer lifts safely. Ability to perform CPR and First Aid confidently; current certification required. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record keeping. Excellent client communication skills with a caring approach to caregiving and client engagement. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and work flexible hours in live-in employment situations if required. Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
