Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals in various care settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. Candidates should be committed to delivering respectful, personalized care while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all regulatory standards. Prior experience in senior care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Assist with medication management according to care plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding if necessary Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care strategies Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts and assistive devices safely Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance clients' well-being Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures Experience Candidates should possess relevant experience such as home health care, hospice care, assisted living, or nursing home experience. Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments is preferred. Certifications in CPR and First Aid are highly desirable. Prior experience involving patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and working within HIPAA guidelines will strengthen candidacy. Experience with heavy lifting or the use of specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts is a plus. A background in social work or long-term care demonstrates a strong foundation for providing comprehensive support tailored to each individual's needs.
