Job Summary The ideal candidate will be committed to promoting independence, safety, and well-being through personalized care and support. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in implementing care plans, assisting with activities of daily living, and creating a positive environment for residents. Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Must have a high school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Be able to pass a background check & drug screening Must be able to communicate effectively (verbally and written) with co-workers, families, guardians, consultants and vendors Duties Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Support residents during meal preparation, cooking, and feeding to promote nutritional health. Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices. Engage residents in social activities, community outings, and therapeutic programs to foster social integration and mental well-being. Qualifications Ability to work in home-like settings Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) with co-workers, families, guardians, consultants and vendors Management of the home schedule and operations to ensure resident assigned goals, schedules, data and cleaning duties are completed Ability to demonstrate competence in problem solving, taking initiative, resident rights, quality, organization and teamwork Ensure client safety and maintain a safe home environment Ability to cook and/or follow specific guidelines for resident meal preparation
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.50 per hour
