Community Care Partners is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an adult participant in Point Pleasant, NJ 08742 . As a DSP, you will provide hands-on assistance and daily living support while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life. Services are delivered in accordance with the participant's individualized service plan. We are looking for a reliable, English-speaking DSP who enjoys helping others and making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with support needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated DSP seeking a rewarding part-time role in human services.

Work Location:
One-on-one DSP services are provided in the participant's home and in the community. This position includes accompanying the participant to the gym and providing transportation and support during community-based activities while promoting independence, safety, and engagement.

Case Specifics:
Transport the participant to and from the gym and provide support during community outings. This position involves a significant amount of driving; applicants must be comfortable spending extended time driving as part of their duties. Encourage independence and active participation in daily tasks and community activities. Assist the participant in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment. Provide hands-on support while promoting dignity, respect, and personal choice.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
Assisting the participant with daily routines and activities. Providing supervision and support based on the participant's individualized needs. Safely transporting the participant to community activities as required. Encouraging independence and participation in everyday tasks. Promoting dignity, respect, inclusion, and positive engagement. Maintaining the professional, respectful, and supportive environment expected of a DSP. Documenting services and communicating important updates as required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of reaching, bending, lifting, and performing light physical tasks as needed.
Experience, License, and Certification Requirements:
Must be proficient in English (reading, writing, and comprehension). Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record. Must be comfortable driving the participant to community activities, including regular trips to the gym. Must clear all required State/Federal criminal background checks, the Central Registry, and the CARI database. CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Applicants may apply without certification but must obtain it before starting services.
