Duties Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare teams Administer medications and follow care plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring proper food handling and cleanliness standards are maintained Support residents during recreational activities, social outings, and community involvement to promote engagement and independence Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks in living areas and common spaces Document care activities accurately in resident records while respecting confidentiality and privacy standards Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus Experience with patient monitoring tools, Hoyer lifts, or other mobility aids is beneficial Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with seniors or individuals requiring long-term care support Familiarity with care planning processes, medication management, and safety protocols for vulnerable populations Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist residents safely Join us as a Direct Support Professional if you're passionate about making a positive impact through dedicated caregiving.
