Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Support clients with medication administration following prescribed instructions and safety protocols Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry Follow care plans accurately while documenting services provided using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Respond promptly to emergency situations with first aid or CPR as needed, ensuring client safety at all times Support clients with cognitive disabilities or dementia through specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care practices is essential Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while maintaining client dignity and independence Valid certification in First Aid and CPR required; ongoing training preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous Capable of heavy lifting and safe patient lifting practices to support mobility needs Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities related to home & community care or group home settings Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation of care services Join us in providing compassionate, high-quality care that transforms lives.
