Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and overall happiness of the individuals with developmental disabilities we support. Each DSP must bring a genuine passion for helping others, along with creativity in empowering adults with developmental disabilities by focusing on their strengths. They are also responsible for providing the personalized support and assistance outlined in each individual's care plan. Responsibilities and Duties Primary job functions are to ensure the health, safety & welfare of the persons with whom you serve and ensure the involvement of the individuals in their community. The employee will provide experiences that allow the individuals to develop to his/her fullest potential in the areas of self-direction, independent living, self-care, self-sufficiency, language learning & mobility using the Individual Plan structure. Hourly pay is adjusted according to each person's experience and training. Qualifications and Skills Must have high school or GED equivalent diploma Valid driver's license & in good standing Pass background & drug screen Possess clear verbal and written skills Attend required one week paid new hire training before assignment 1st Aid/CPR, Delegated Nursing a plus but not required before hiring Benefits
