Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs and overall condition; report changes promptly to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed precisely Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe movement Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols Document care activities accurately in client records, including patient observations, progress notes, and incident reports Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques such as vital signs measurement and medication administration Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids Knowledge of care planning processes and assisting with ADLs in various settings such as geriatrics or developmental disabilities support Certification in CPR and first aid is preferred; ongoing training in manual handling, HIPAA compliance, and patient personal care is advantageous Join us if you are passionate about providing empathetic caregiving that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
