Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration; report any concerns to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist residents with eating when necessary Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility and transfers Maintain cleanliness of residents' living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation practices Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being, especially for individuals with dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and resident-specific care plans is beneficial Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, CPR/First Aid certification, and HIPAA compliance is preferred Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders enhances your ability to deliver personalized care Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices is advantageous Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams are essential Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and manage manual handling tasks while maintaining client safety This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to provide exceptional personal support while advancing their caregiving expertise.
