Job Description
Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP), where your compassionate nature and energetic approach will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to help clients achieve greater independence, enhance their quality of life, and participate actively in their communities. Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation to promote independence and well-being Support clients during community outings, recreational activities, and appointments, ensuring safety and engagement at all times Provide personal transportation if required. Maintain a safe environment by following health protocols, practicing first aid and CPR when necessary, and adhering to all safety guidelines
Hours:
20 hours per week
Schedule:
Tuesdays 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursdays 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm Sunday 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Requirements Experience working with individuals with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, or cognitive disabilities is highly preferred Knowledge of behavior management techniques and experience with clients requiring intellectual disabilities support is advantageous Valid Ohio driver's license with experience operating a standard passenger car; clean driving record required (less than 6 points). Home & community care experience demonstrating the ability to assist with ADLs and provide caregiving support Strong communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and documentation purposes First aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire Ability to pass a criminal background check and meet agency requirements.
