Overview Looking for a FEMALE staff to join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. Whether supporting residents in group homes, assisted living facilities, or community settings, your positive attitude and proactive approach will help create a nurturing environment where clients thrive. SUPPORTED LIVIING
Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and individual is pretty much independent. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare teams in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support medication administration and ensure adherence to care plans tailored to each individual's needs Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning, cooking, and clean-up to promote healthy eating habits Provide transportation assistance for appointments, community outings, or errands while ensuring safety and comfort Engage residents in meaningful activities that foster social interaction and mental stimulation, including working with individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and manual handling procedures to meet health standards Trained Basket Holding living in individual home for 3 to 4 days. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or dementia Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, dementia care strategies, Alzheimer's care, memory care practices, and hospice or home health services Ability to perform patient personal care assistance with compassion and professionalism while adhering to HIPAA guidelines Familiarity with assistive devices like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods; capable of heavy lifting when necessary Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams Certification in CPR and first aid; understanding of medication administration protocols Experience working in senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is highly valued Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual receives respectful, attentive care.
