Overview We are seeking a direct care support to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities in various settings mostly in the home with a group of 4 or less! The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve by promoting independence and dignity while ensuring their safety and well-being. Currently we are looking for someone who can work our afternoon shift- 2:15pm- 9:15pm 3-5 days a week. We are also searching for morning shift available 5 days a week which is 6am-10am and awake overnight 2 days a week. Must have valid drivers license and clear driving record. Duties Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Provide support in home community care settings, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for clients. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs, including those with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any changes in behavior or health status while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to coordinate care for clients requiring medical attention. Perform heavy lifting as needed to assist clients with mobility challenges or during transfers. Foster a positive and respectful relationship with clients, encouraging their autonomy and participation in decision-making. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly preferred. Background in home health care, senior care, or group home environments is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
