Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Community Participation Supports (CPS) Professional to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders, to promote community engagement and independence. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster positive experiences and empower clients to achieve their personal goals within their communities. Duties Support individuals with disabilities in participating in community activities, social events, and daily routines. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene. Provide transportation assistance using personal or agency vehicles to ensure clients attend appointments and community outings safely. Implement behavior management strategies tailored to each individual's needs, especially for those with autism or behavioral health challenges. Collect data on client progress and activity participation to inform care plans and support team collaboration. Administer medications and perform basic first aid or CPR when necessary, following established protocols. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure a supportive and transparent care environment. Skills Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus for effective communication. Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and client-centered support strategies. Ability to operate standard passenger cars safely for personal transportation assistance. Background in home & community care services or caregiving roles supporting individuals with cognitive disabilities. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and documentation purposes. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training provided if needed. Capable of assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as feeding, grooming, and mobility support. Experience in data collection related to client progress or service delivery is advantageous.
