Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by assisting them with daily activities and personal care. Your commitment to delivering exceptional care will make a significant difference in the lives of those you serve. The basics of this position are companionship, food prep, light cleaning from time to time and occasionally laundry as listed below Duties Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to clients' dietary needs. Administer basic health care tasks such as monitoring vital signs and assisting with medication reminders. Offer specialized care for individuals with conditions such as dementia or those requiring hospice and long-term care. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Document client progress and report any changes in health or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Assist with mobility and transportation needs as required. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Requirements Previous experience in home care or healthcare settings is preferred but not mandatory or required. Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, long-term care, and home community care is beneficial. Certification in CPR is highly desirable. Ability to prepare meals that meet dietary restrictions and preferences. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work independently while following established care plans and protocols. Stable and reliable transportation to and from the clients home, including during winter weather.
