Our community offers a range of care options, including independent living, personal care, dementia care, and nursing care, fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for our residents. Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant/Medication Technician to join our team. This vital role involves providing high-quality personal care and medication assistance to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. The ideal candidate will have experience working in long-term care or residential settings and possess a strong commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life. EOE Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with established protocols and resident care plans. Monitor residents' vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to detect any health changes promptly. Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, utilizing specialized techniques to promote safety and engagement. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, medication administration, and any changes in residents' conditions. Follow safe patient lifting practices and manual handling procedures to prevent injury during transfers or repositioning. Uphold residents' rights by respecting their autonomy, privacy, and dignity at all times. Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or residential care environments is highly preferred. Medication Administration Certification a plus, but we will train the right person Pennsylvania CNA certification preferred but not required Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, and memory support techniques preferred. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members. Commitment to maintaining a clean environment through proper cleaning protocols and infection control practices. Pay:
