Job Description

THE POSITION
The Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking Residential Services Aides who want to make a real difference in the lives of individuals at Selinsgrove Center. In this role, you help deliver hands-on training and support that build confidence, encourage independence, and strengthen everyday skills. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports treatment, training, and daily living activities that help individuals develop important skills and reach personal goals. As a Residential Services Aide, you will perform the following duties:
Plan Support:
Assist with completing assessments and training plans to provide accurate information on individual strengths, likes, and needs
Training Support:
Help implement Individual Habilitation Plan/Individual Support Plans (IHP/ISP) and conduct assigned training activities to support skill development
Progress Monitoring:
Record and report information to help revise plans and improve services
Team Participation:
Work with interdisciplinary team members to share insights and strengthen treatment efforts
Record Keeping:
Document information in individual unit records to support communication across the team
Environment Support:
Help enhance living areas by assisting with selecting, placing, and monitoring personal items that will maximize the therapeutic environment
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) and 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM), with a 30-minute lunch. You will have rotating break days and every 3rd weekend off. Overtime and travel as needed Free parking
Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $43,376.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
