Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Use proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe movement Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Document care activities accurately, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with team members about patient progress Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous Ability to observe patients closely, monitor vital signs, and recognize signs of distress or changes in condition Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays such as autism or intellectual disabilities support is beneficial Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like Hoyer lift training or medication administration are a plus Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, patient transfers, manual handling tasks, and assist with mobility needs safely Join us to provide compassionate care that enhances quality of life!
