Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to support their personal hygiene and comfort. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, tracking changes, and reporting findings to healthcare professionals promptly. Support medication administration following care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist residents with meal consumption to promote proper nutrition. Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility and prevent injury. Maintain cleanliness of residents' living areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices to uphold hygiene standards. Provide emotional support and engage in meaningful communication to foster trust, comfort, and social interaction. Assist with transportation needs for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety during travel. Support residents with specialized needs including dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities by implementing tailored care strategies. Follow care plans meticulously, documenting observations and interventions accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to observe patients closely and respond appropriately to their needs. Experience with patient monitoring techniques such as vital signs measurement and medication administration. Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice support, or neurodevelopmental disorders enhances your effectiveness. Knowledge of manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods ensures safety during mobility assistance. Proven skills in caregiving roles supporting individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges are highly valued.
