We provide residents with opportunities to learn, experience, and achieve a whole new life. We are currently seeking a Shift Supervisor to join our Village Community. This position is responsible to the Assistant Director for supervising shift staff to ensure each staff member maintains a safe, respectful, organized environment where residents can thrive and reach their full potential. The Shift Supervisor must direct staff and maintain goals and operation of the facility to ensure the safety, well-being and happiness of residents while ensuring a professional, respectful working environment for staff. Responsibilities include ensuring shift is adequately staffed, staff is completing assigned tasks, residents attend appointments and activities as scheduled, proper documentation of shift events, making safety-conscious decisions, and ensuring proper reporting and communication with the Assistant Director. This responsibility includes ensuring compliance with state standards and regulations regarding an assisted living facility.

Shift Available:

Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 21 years old to be an approved driver Must have valid Texas Driver License and clean driving record to be an approved driver One year's experience working in a residential setting with individuals with intellectual disabilities CPR/First Aide Certification preferred Physical Demands Requires lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, walking and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Requires normal range of hearing and vision. Key Responsibilities Ensure shifts are properly staffed and communicate staffing needs to leadership. Report emergencies, concerns, and unusual incidents promptly. Oversee transportation operations to ensure safe, timely route completion. Verify residents are prepared for off-campus activities and maintain clean living spaces. Monitor resident attendance at work, classes, appointments, and activities. Support staff in effectively training and guiding residents. Promote positive communication and conflict resolution among residents. Make safety-focused decisions regarding transportation and weather conditions. Conduct regular cottage walkthroughs to ensure tasks and training are completed. Manage and document petty cash and shift funds accurately. Maintain accurate resident medical records and communicate updates as appropriate. Ensure medications received during the shift are properly logged. Provide performance feedback and assist with staff evaluations. Complete incident and injury reports promptly and notify leadership of occurrences.
