Full-Time / Part-Time Job Summary The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides compassionate, hands-on assistance to residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life. The PCA ensures a safe, clean, and supportive environment in accordance with Veranda Senior Living policies and state regulations. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility Provide support with transfers and ambulation using proper techniques and equipment Assist with meal service and feeding as needed, following dietary guidelines Observe and report changes in residents physical or emotional condition to nursing staff Ensure residents rooms are clean, safe, and organized Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests Promote residents independence and encourage participation in activities Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures Document care provided in accordance with facility policies Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support
