Description:

Love at Home Services, provides support for individuals with disabilities. We help those with developmental and physical disabilities to achieve their goals and to become as independent as possible. Love at Home Services is looking for hard-working, fun, outgoing, self-motivated, and responsible people to join our team.

Assist individuals with the following:

Participate in planned activities Medication administration Documentation/ Shift notes Personal hygiene Safety Teaching and learning to improve their knowledge, skills, and abilities Cleaning Preparing, serving, and eating meals following dietary guidelines Complete the following each shift or as required: Medication documentation Goal and support documentation Cleaning and upkeep of environment

In person. We have a Herriman location, South Jordan, Lehi, and Day program in the community in SLC county. Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), where you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with developmental, intellectual, or physical disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide personalized care, support daily activities, and promote a safe, respectful environment. Your compassionate approach will help clients achieve their goals while fostering a sense of community and well-being. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day through active caregiving and support. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Monitor and observe patients' health status by taking vital signs, noting changes, and reporting concerns to healthcare teams promptly. Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist clients with meal consumption when necessary. Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings to promote independence and social engagement. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Document care activities accurately in client records, including progress notes, incident reports, and updates on resident's rights and care plans. Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, neurodevelopmental disorders, or hospice care is advantageous. Ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and recognize signs of distress or health deterioration. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is essential; familiarity with patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or patient personal care assistance is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while respecting residents' rights and confidentiality standards. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, assist with patient transfers, manual handling tasks, and endure long periods of standing or walking.
