Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing behavior, and reporting changes to healthcare teams Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning tailored to individual dietary needs Use manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe movement Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering positive interactions and communication with residents Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety at all times Support residents with specialized care needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, or neurodevelopmental disorders Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Experience working with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities is advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks including patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Demonstrated patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to support others' well-being Familiarity with medication administration procedures and care plans is beneficial Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed Join us in making a positive impact!
