In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether supporting residents in group homes, assisted living facilities, or community settings, you will be a positive influence and a trusted caregiver. This paid position offers an enriching opportunity to develop your skills while fostering a supportive environment for those you serve. Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, and hygiene Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition updates in accordance with care plans Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to ensure safety during movement Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking to meet dietary needs and preferences Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of living spaces Document care activities accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Engage in patient observation to identify changes in behavior or health status, especially for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorders
Qualifications:
NAC (Nursing Assistant Certified) or HCA (Home Care Aide) certification required, or willingness to obtain within required timeframe Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain) Ability to pass a Washington State Patrol background check Prior caregiving or CNA/HCA experience preferred Reliable, patient, compassionate, and a strong communicator Ability to lift/assist with resident transfers
