Job Description:
The Lab Service Engineer will support our clients R D and Applications Lab by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, and calibration on semiconductor equipment. This individual will work closely with Process, Hardware, and Software Engineering teams supporting prototype tools, customer demos, and development activities. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor equipment. Troubleshoot electro-mechanical, pneumatic, robotic, and vacuum system issues. Support prototype tool installations, upgrades, and engineering development activities. Work within cleanroom environments and follow all safety requirements. Assist with customer demonstrations and engineering lab operations. Interpret schematics, technical documentation, and system procedures. Support tool qualification, calibration, and system performance verification. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
Requirements:
5+ years of semiconductor equipment experience. Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience on semiconductor tools. Cleanroom experience. Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Experience with robotics, pneumatics, motors, sensors, and motion control systems. Familiarity with DVMs (Digital Volt Meters), multimeters, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with vacuum systems, pumps, chambers, valves, and leak checking. Previous experience with Lam Research, Applied Materials, TEL, KLA, ASML, Intel, or Micron. Automotive repair or electro-mechanical maintenance background. R D, prototype equipment, or engineering lab support experience. Technical degree preferred.
