Job Description

About Aura Diagnostics Aura Diagnostics is a veterinary technology startup developing a cancer screening test for dogs. Veterinary clinics mail us nail clippings from their patients, and we analyze them in our Petaluma lab. Our first validation study was published in a peer-reviewed journal, and we're now preparing for commercial launch. About the role We're hiring one or two part-time technicians to prepare and scan the nail samples that arrive at our lab. You'll work independently and set your own schedule within lab hours. The work is repetitive and exacting: each sample has to be handled the same way every time and recorded correctly, because a veterinarian will rely on the result. If you like quiet, focused, hands-on work and take pride in getting details right, this job will suit you. Students are welcome to apply. We'll work around your school schedule. What you'll do Prepare nail samples for scanning using a scalpel blade and tweezers Load samples into the instrument and run scans Enter sample and patient information into our computer system exactly as provided Check each sample's label against its record before and after scanning Keep your workstation, tools and sample storage clean and organized Report any damaged, mislabeled or unusual samples What we're looking for

We'll train you on our instruments and procedures. Schedule and pay 15-20 hours per week with flexible hours, including around class schedules $22 per hour This is a part-time hourly position.
