Job Description

Job Overview:
The Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for all aspects of quality control in the laboratory, as well as maintaining laboratory methods for testing and examination. The individual is required to follow cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) and all applicable Standard Operating Procedures, and Food Safety Regulations. Responsibilities and Duties Performs standardized qualitative and quantitative tests on work-in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with company and/or customer quality standards Maintains inventory of reagents, glassware, chemicals, and laboratory supplies Calibrates, cleans, and maintains laboratory equipment, glassware, and instrumentation Conducts physical and analytical tests at various stages to ensure compliance with standards May include the use of pH meters, titration, and other instrumentation File and maintain retained samples for traceability Prepares reagents and solutions for use in testing Observes conditions and practices in compounding, packaging, and finished goods storage areas, recommends improvements Qualifications Ability to multi-task Superior communication (verbal & written) Ability to prioritize and organize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Ability to address issues, follow up, and implement solutions as required Education/Experience A.S. or higher degree in Science, Biology or Chemistry preferred Knowledge of Analytical Chemistry preferred Physical Requirements Ability to carry weight up to 25 pounds
