Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician Generalist Total Care is looking for a Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician Generalist. The MT/MLT Generalist will work independently, organizing work to meet deadlines and validating all data obtained, and can perform, with or without supervision, analysis and reporting of patient samples. The MT/MLT Generalist will interact extensively with other technologists and office staff, proving competency in prioritizing the workload accordingly and completing assigned tasks within the indicated timelines. Qualifications
Must have 6 months+ as a Lab Tech (in a clinical independent lab or hospital) working in Molecular and general lab setting. . Associate's or Bachelor's degree in laboratory science.
ASCP certification or equivalent is a plus
Monday - Thursday, Sunday from 9am to 5pm with flexibility to adjust to work needs

Testing Personnel (
Test Complexity:
Moderate/High) The MT/MLT Generalist is responsible for testing and reporting test results. The MT/MLT Generalist should only perform tests authorized by the laboratory director that are within the individual's skill level as determined by education, training or experience, and technical abilities. The responsibilities listed below encompass but are not limited to the description of clinical work in the laboratory setting.
Position Requirements:
Prior work experience in a moderate/high complexity Clinical Laboratory, 6 months minimum
Molecular experience required; 6 months minimum
General lab experience required; 6 months minimum
Excellent work ethic
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Able to multitask effectively.
Works well in a team environment
Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office applications
Position Responsibilities:
Versed with all current high-complexity laboratory SOPs.
Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling, test analyses, and reporting.
Ability to monitor and track QC, temperature and sample error logs.
Maintain records demonstrating that proficiency testing samples are processed the same way as patient specimens.
Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies and document all QC activities, instrument, and procedural calibrations.
Follow the laboratory's policies whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable performance levels.
Be able to identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either correct the problem or notify the supervisor/manager.
Maintains open communication with co-workers and management in all aspects of work-related tasks, when applicable.
Work Location :
In person Monday-Friday with possible Saturdays as work needs change.
Pay:
From $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
