Job Summary 6K Energy is a high-tech start-up focused on the application of 6K Inc.'s groundbreaking microwave plasma technology platform, UniMelt ® , to develop unique, cutting edge, battery materials such as NMC, LFP, LTO, silicon anode, and more. 6K's UniMelt plasma technology transforms engineered materials into revolutionary products that advance industries across additive manufacturing, renewable energy, aerospace, and consumer electronics all with sustainability at its core. We have an immediate opening for an Analytical Laboratory Technician to join our battery materials characterization team. In this position, you will be working in a high-volume laboratory environment alongside engineers and scientists, conducting a wide range of material characterization tests on lithium-ion battery materials in support of development and scaleup activities. Responsibilities Perform routine or non-routine analysis of R&D samples Perform routine analysis of pilot production samples following laboratory standard operation procedures Become proficient with analytical techniques and instrumentation such as ICP-OES, Autotitration, PSD, BET, KF, LECO, Tap Density Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation Accurately record and report results using LIMS system Maintain a clean and organized lab environment by following all onsite safety and 5S protocols. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science or related field is preferred 2+ years' experience working in an analytical or wet lab setting Experience with handling hazardous materials such as mineral acids Able to work independently and under minimum supervision Able to multi-task and manage time efficiently
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
